Today, one of the kids from the school invited me to come visit his family. He lives about a 30 minute walk from Downtown, and his family lives and works on what was formerly a sugar cane farm and is being turned into a coffee farm. I’m just going to put the pictures up for now, but expect another post on coffee in the near future, once I get up to speed.

Lenin’s dad, Lucio. He has 9 children with his wife, and they all live and work on the farm. They used to work for a previous owner making panela from sugar cane, burning tires (!!!) in the process. The new owner stopped the practice and is switching to coffee production.
